SIU Terms & Conditions

1. What SIU Is

SIU is a platform that connects people, products and places. SIU allows users to:

• Buy and sell items
• Give items away
• Post and respond to requests
• Find and offer services
• Discover listings and other users
• Communicate through the platform
• Connect with sellers, buyers and service providers

SIU is a connection platform. SIU does not own, inspect, verify, store, ship or guarantee the products or services listed by users.

SIU does not act as a buyer, seller, service provider, agent or transaction intermediary between users unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific assisted-listing service.

2. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use SIU. You must not create accounts for other people without their permission.

3. Listings and Requests

You are responsible for everything you publish on SIU.

Listings and requests must be accurate and must not contain misleading, fraudulent, illegal or prohibited content.

You must have the legal right to sell, give away or offer anything you list.

For services, you are responsible for having the necessary qualifications, permissions, licences or legal authority required to provide the service.

SIU does not independently verify the accuracy of listings, qualifications, prices, ownership or claims made by users.

4. Services

SIU allows individuals, freelancers, side-hustlers, tradespeople and businesses to offer services.

SIU does not employ, endorse or guarantee service providers.

Any agreement concerning a service is between the users involved.

You are responsible for checking a provider’s experience, qualifications, identity, pricing, availability and suitability before engaging them.

5. Transactions and Payments

SIU does not process or hold payments between users.

SIU does not provide payment protection, escrow, refunds, deposits or transaction guarantees.

Any payment, delivery, collection, service arrangement or other transaction is arranged directly between the users involved.

SIU is not responsible for:

• Scams or fraud
• Counterfeit or stolen goods
• Misleading listings
• Poor-quality goods or services
• Damage or loss
• Non-payment
• Non-delivery
• Refunds
• Returns
• Cancellations
• Disputes between users

Users should verify listings and use appropriate precautions before entering into an agreement.

6. Offers and Timed Sales

Where SIU provides features such as offers or timed sales, these features are intended to help users communicate and agree arrangements. SIU does not guarantee that an offer, sale or transaction will be completed. Any payment, delivery or fulfilment takes place outside SIU unless SIU expressly introduces a future payment or transaction service. Users are responsible for understanding and complying with any arrangement they enter into.

7. Enquiries and Connections

SIU may allow interested users to send enquiries about listings or services. An enquiry does not create a contract or guarantee that the seller or provider will respond. SIU may assist in connecting interested users with sellers or service providers. Where an assisted listing is involved, SIU may share appropriate contact information with an interested user to facilitate that connection.

8. Assisted Listings

SIU may create listings on behalf of sellers, landlords, service providers or other individuals. The person or organisation supplying the underlying information remains responsible for the accuracy and legality of that information. An assisted listing does not mean SIU has inspected, verified or endorsed the item or service.

9. Prohibited Content and Behaviour

You must not use SIU to:

• Sell or promote illegal goods or services
• Sell counterfeit or stolen goods
• Promote scams or fraudulent schemes
• Misrepresent products or services
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users
• Impersonate another person
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems
• Spam or manipulate the platform
• Use SIU for unlawful purposes
• Publish content that infringes another person’s rights
• Circumvent a block or other safety restriction
• Create misleading listings or requests

SIU may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Messaging

SIU provides messaging to help users communicate.

You must use messaging responsibly and lawfully.

You must not use SIU messaging for harassment, threats, scams, spam, fraud or other abusive behaviour.

SIU may review or process information relating to reports and safety issues where reasonably necessary to protect the platform and its users.

11. Reporting and Blocking

Users can report listings, users or other activity that they believe violates these Terms or creates a safety concern.

Users can also block other users.

SIU may investigate reports and take appropriate action, including removing content, restricting features or suspending accounts.

Blocking is a safety feature and does not mean SIU has determined that the blocked user has committed wrongdoing.

12. Your Safety

You are responsible for taking reasonable precautions when dealing with people you meet through SIU.

For physical transactions, consider:

• Meeting in a public place
• Inspecting items before paying
• Verifying the identity of the person you are dealing with
• Using trusted delivery services where appropriate
• Avoiding sending money before you are satisfied with the arrangement

For services, independently verify the provider and agree the scope, price and conditions before proceeding.

13. No Guarantee

SIU does not guarantee:

• The accuracy of user content
• The quality or condition of products
• The quality of services
• The identity or reliability of users
• That listings will remain available
• That users will respond to enquiries
• That a transaction will be completed
• That a service will be provided
• That the platform will always be available or error-free

You use SIU at your own risk.

14. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you upload to SIU. By uploading content, you give SIU permission to use, store, reproduce and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate the platform and provide its services. You must have the right to upload any content you publish. SIU’s name, branding, software, design and other platform materials remain the property of SIU or its relevant licensors.

15. Account Suspension and Removal

SIU may remove listings, restrict features or suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe a user:

• Violates these Terms
• Creates a safety risk
• Engages in fraud or abuse
• Uses the platform unlawfully
• Attempts to circumvent platform restrictions
• Creates significant risk to SIU or other users

Where appropriate, we may act without prior notice.

16. Account Deletion

You may delete your account through the SIU app. Deleting your account does not remove responsibility for obligations or conduct that occurred before deletion. Information may be retained where reasonably necessary for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to SIU

SIU may add, remove or change features as the platform develops. These Terms may therefore be updated from time to time.

Material changes may be communicated through the app or other reasonable means.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the use of SIU will be subject to the applicable courts and laws of Vietnam.
